18th Airborne Corps Wooden Plaque
The
XVIII Airborne Corps is the Corps of the Army designed for rapid deployment anywhere in the world. It is referred to as "America's Contingency Corps" and is the Army's largest warfighting organization. As of 2004, it consists of approximately 88,000 soldiers in four divisions. Its headquarters are at Fort Bragg. XVIII Airborne Corps was most recently deployed to Baghdad, Iraq, where it served as the Multi-National-Corps-Iraq.
Usually only found on T-shirts, pins and coffee cups, our Artists perfectly reproduced the popular 18th AB Unit Emblem using nothing but All-Natural fine hardwoods. This is one of the very few Plaque that we use Purple Heart wood, which is Inlaid into the background. Each little piece of the Dragon is individually cut then joined together Intarsia-style.This sharp XVIII Airborne Unit Insignia Wooden Plaque measures approx 12" x 10".
