JOINT IMPROVISED THREAT DEFEAT ORGANIZATION

{NOTE} Though we continue to offer the JIDA (Agency) Wood Art Emblem as it was a Budgeted and fully Operational Agency for over 10-years, we also offer the JIDO Wood Art Emblem to reflect the change from Agency to Organization in 2016.

The Joint Improvised-Threat Defeat Organization is a combat support organization of the U.S. Department of Defense organization under the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) that deals with improvised threats such as the improvised explosive device (IEDs). JIDO was born from the Joint IED Defeat Organization established in 2006, which focused on IEDs.

JIDO's mission is to "enable Department of Defense actions to counter improvised threats with tactical responsiveness and anticipatory acquisition in support of combatant commanders' efforts to prepare for, and adapt to, battlefield surprise."

Measuring over 13" in diameter, this complex Joint Improvised-Threat Defeat Organization (JIDO) Wood Art Plaque is handcrafted from 8 different fine hardwoods.
