The US Coast Guard is one of the oldest organizations of the Federal Government.
Similar to its seagoing counterpart, the Command Ashore insignia is awarded to Chief Warrant Officers and Commissioned Officers at the rank of Captain or below who successfully complete six months of continuous service in a qualifying billet in the Coast Guard or Coast Guard Reserve. The Wings are made from 4 different exotic woods, and features our Signature Feathered Wings, a time consuming method of creating beautiful, highly detailed Eagle Wings.
Our New USCG Command Ashore wood art is made from 8 different fine hardwoods. We made a rare exception and used a touch of paint for the blue shield, strictly for visual impact.
The Eagle Claws are carefully crafted from separate pieces of wood, as is the highly detailed fouled Anchor.
This large, impressive Coast Guard Command Ashore Wood Art Wall Hanging measures 18” wide x 16” long.
