Located within the Department of Justice, the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) was established in 1930 with a mandate to manage and regulate “all federal penal correctional institutions”.

Measuring over 14" in diameter, our Bureau of Prisons Seal Wood Art plaque is 100% Handcrafted from NINE (9) different fine hardwoods.

We made a rare exception and used a touch of paint on this plaque, strictly to enhance its appearance. We painted the Olive Branch green, which provides nice contrast against the other woods.

All of the other colors in this plaque are the Natural Colors of the 9 different fine hardwoods.

The most amazing aspect of this BOP Wood Art Plaque is the Shield; we Inlaid the Shield and created a 3-D effect. It's truly impressive.

We carefully crafted the tiny Eagle Beak and Talons; we used 4 different woods to create the Eagles Feathered Wings, our Signature method of carving highly detailed Eagle Wings.

The entire Eagle itself has 7 different woods.
