The 82nd Airborne Division is an elite modular Airborne Infantry Division and was constituted in the National Army as the 82nd Division on March 5, 1917.
The 82nd Airborne's Distinctive Unit Insignia is comprised of a fleur-de-lis, representative of the battle honors earned in France during World War I; the Wings are symbolic of the Divisionís mission; the Motto is expressive of the personnel of the organization either On Land or In the Air.
Usually only found on T-shirts, pins and coffee cups, our Artists perfectly reproduced the popular 82nd Airborne DUI Emblem using nothing but All-Natural fine hardwoods. The background wings are Inlaid and the fleur-de-lis is overlaid Intarsia-style for a very handsome Wooden Plaque.
This sharp 82nd Airborne Corps DUI Wooden Plaque measures approx 11" x 11".
