173rd Airborne Emblem Plaque

The 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team is an Airborne Infantry Brigade. It is the United States European Command's conventional Airborne Strategic Response Force.

Activated in 1915 as the 173rd Infantry Brigade, the Unit saw service in World War I but is best known for its actions during the Vietnam War. The brigade was the first major United States Army ground formation deployed in Vietnam, serving there May 1965–1971.

The 173rd Airborne Brigade deployed to Afghanistan in March 2005 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Handcrafted from 7 different All-Natural fine hardwoods, our Artists perfectly reproduced the 173rd Airborne Emblem.

The Wing, made from 3 woods, features our Signature Highly Detailed Feathered Wings, a time consuming method of sculpting and creating beautifully detailed Wooden Wings.

We decided to paint the Sword red, both for visual impact and to honor the original Emblem. There is no other paint in this plaque, just the natural colors of different woods.

Our NEW Larger 173rd Airborne Emblem Wood Art Plaque measures an impressive 16" x 11".
