Marine Corps Seal Wooden Plaque
This is the
Official U.S. Marine Corps Seal.
In 1954 President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed an Executive Order which approved the design of an Official Seal for the
United States Marine Corps. The new seal consisted of the traditional
Marine Corps Eagle, Globe, and Anchor emblem; however, an
American Bald Eagle replaced the crested eagle depicted on the 1868 emblem, and is depicted with wings displayed, and holding in his beak a scroll inscribed with the Marine Corps motto
"Semper Fidelis" with the hemisphere superimposed on a fouled anchor. The Seal is encircled with a Navy band inscribed
"Department of the Navy, United States Marine Corps" in bold letters.
This breathtaking Marine Corps Wooden Plaque is handcrafted using 7 different All-Natural hardwoods. The Continents are inlaid, the Wings and Anchor are sculpted Intarsia-style, and each Letter is individually handcrafted.
Our U.S. Marine Corps Seal Wooden Plaque measures approx 11.5" across.
