Plaque Description

505th Airborne Emblem Wooden Plaque

On 6 July 1942, at Fort Benning, Georgia, the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment was activated under the Airborne Command. During World War II, the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment participated in 7 major campaigns and 4 regimental airborne assaults, and was the only Brigade of the 82nd Airborne Division to participate in the Vietnam conflict. The 3rd Brigade has been deployed almost everywhere: Sinai, Grenada, Panama, Op Desert Storm, Iraq/Afghanistan and currently Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Our Artists selected 6 different fine Hardwoods to create this impressive 505th PIR Wooden Plaque. The stripes are Inlaid not painted on.

This sharp 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment Emblem measures approx 12" in diameter.
