11th Airborne Emblem Wooden Plaque
The
11th Airborne Division was an Army Airborne formation, first activated on 25 February 1943 during World War II. The division played a vital part during the War; later during the early stages of the Vietnam Conflict, the 11th Airborne explored the theory of helicopter assault tactics. It was finally deactivated on 29 June 1965.
